  • Southeast Community College in Beatrice will conduct its annual Southeast Nebraska All-Star Basketball games and All Star Volleyball match on June 15 and 16 at the Truman Center.
    The volleyball match set for 7:30 p.m. Friday, June 15, features several local names on the East team roster.
    Hanna Morrison of Syracuse-Dunbsar-Avoca  is planning to attend Nebraska Wesleyan and major in Fitness Science. She is the daughter of Alicia and Keith Morrison.
    Taylor DeVorss of Nebraska City is planning to attend Midland University and major in elementary education. She is the daughter of Bob DeVorss.
    Haley Kreifels of Lourdes is planning to attend the University of Nebraska at Omaha. She is the daughter of Michelle and Brad Kreifels.
    Kayla Haneline of Lourdes is planning to attend the University of Northern Iowa and major in exercise science. She is the daughter of Cheryl and Kennon Haneline.
    The East team will be coached by Sarah Swartzendruber of Palmyra. Jennifer Koehler of Nebraska City will serve as an assistant coach.
    The boys’ basketball game set for 8 p.m. Saturday, June 16, features several local names on the East team roster.
    Micah Buller of S-D-A is planning to attend the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and major in pre-pharmacy. He is the son of Kristi and Brad Buller.
    Max Ritchie of Nebraska City is planning on attending the University of Nebraska in Lincoln and major in business. He is the son of Mary and Mark Ritchie.
    Justin Hauder of Lourdes is planning on attending the University of Nebraska at Omaha. He is the son of Janet Hauder.
    The East team will be coached by Nick Krenk of Johnson-Brock High School.
