Obituary: Lyle M. Rodaway, 89

Lyle M. Rodaway, 89, died April 21, 2012. He was born Dec. 4, 1922 to Ivan and Myrtle (Nash) Rodaway. He married Fern Callaway on Feb. 24, 1947.

    Lyle farmed near Unadilla most of his life. He also worked for the  U.S. Soil Conservation Service, Lincoln Parks and Recreation Department, and the Unadilla Public School System.

    Survivors are daughters Sharon (Bill) Mierau, of Halstead, Kan., Janis Rodaway and Marcia Rodaway, of Lincoln; brother Roland Rodaway, of Unadilla; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his wife, sons Nelson, and Calvin, and several brothers and sisters.

    Private graveside services were held. Family suggests memorials to Gideon Bibles Int. or donor’s choice in care of Fusselman-Allen-Harvey Funeral Home.
