Pioneers grab third win

After facing some of the top competition in the state these last couple of weeks, the Pioneer girls’ soccer team ended its regular season by beating Auburn 5-1 on Tuesday.

Four players scored goals for Nebraska City in the win as the Pioneers raised thier final record to 3-8.

The Pioneers’ other wins this year came against Crete and Conestoga.

Nebraska City will open the Eastern Midlands Conference tournament at 6 p.m. Monday at Norris.
