    Lincoln--Laboratory Assistant Paul T. Gilbert, of the University of Nebraska zoology department, Wednesday mourned the loss of the school’s boa constrictor who died of intestinal complications.

    Gilbert, the snake’s keeper, said he would be able to use the reptile's digestive tract for laboratory and research work.  The boa constrictor arrived in Lincoln several months ago in a shipment of bananas from Central America.
