NOTICE TO BIDDERS
FOR EDUCATIONAL SERVICE UNIT 4 LEARNING CENTER APPLIANCES
Educational Service Unit 4 of the State of Nebraska (“ESU 4”) will accept sealed bids for the provision of appliances in accordance with the ESU 4 Learning Center Project Appliance Specifications (“Specifications”).
A copy of the Specifications will be maintained and made available for inspection at the offices of ESU 4, 919 16th Street, Auburn, Nebraska (“ESU 4 Office”). Bidders shall include the following information in their bids:
1) The cost of all appliances set forth in the Specifications plus the cost of delivery of all appliances to the ESU 4 Learning Center located at the northeast corner of R Street and US Highway 136 in Auburn, Nebraska on or about August 20, 2008;
2) A description of the appliances offered, including brand names, dimensions, and plumbing and electrical requirements;
3) A description of all warranties included in connection with the appliances offered, and if applicable, any additional costs for such warranties;
4) If any appliance offered varies from the Specifications, a description and explanation of such variance; and
5) Any other information the bidder believes to be relevant to its bid.
Sealed bids will be received until June 5, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at the ESU 4 Office. All bids received after this time will be returned to bidders unopened.
Bids will be opened immediately and simultaneously in the presence of bidders or their representatives on June 5, 2008, at 1:30 p.m. at the ESU 4 Office. All bidders or their representatives are invited to be present when bids are opened.
A bidder may withdraw its bid, either in person or by written request, at any time prior to the scheduled time for opening bids. No bidder may withdraw its bid for a period of thirty (30) calendar days after the date set for opening the bids, and ESU 4 may accept any bid during this period.
ESU 4 shall, in its sole and unfettered discretion, determine which bidders are responsible and responsive and shall award the contract for appliances to the lowest responsible bidder whose bid meets the Specifications. ESU 4 reserves the right to reject any or all bids or to waive any informalities or irregularity in the bidding.
